Inspired by modern American quilts, this large platter has a transparent turquoise background. Opaque orange glass is applied to it almost like an applique, and fused together, and has a definite mid-century modern feel to it and looks spectacular when the sun shines through it.
This particular platter is flat with little bumpers fixed underneath so it can be used as a large serving platter. It can also be hung on a wall using additional fixings.
Recently exhibited at Contemporary Glass Society's exhibition "Sparkle!" at Black Swan Arts, Frome, Somerset, until 25th February 2024.
The oak display stand is included.
The platter measures 40cms x 40cms approx.

My partner and I first saw this piece at an exhibition at Black Swan Arts, Frome and fell in love with it. The original had already been sold, but Pj made another one especially for us and we are delighted.
